Mass retesting of medical cannabis products now underway, MSDH announces
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Department of Health placed medical cannabis products on hold due to discrepancies involving test results for pesticides and mycotoxins. Rapid Analytics, one of only two testing facilities in the state, handles about 70% of the medical cannabis testing. The entire retesting process is expected to take about two to three weeks, and cleared products will be back on shelves. The hold came after a state audit found these discrepancies. The Health Department says that mass testing of products put on hold before Christmas just started Wednesday, with the retesting process underway.
The retesting of cannabis products began Wednesday. Patients should contact dispensaries to see what products are currently available.
