U.S. Fifth Circuit allows Capitol Complex Improvement District Court to move forward

The court would be part of the Capitol Complex Improvement District (CCID), created by the mostly white and Republican-controlled Mississippi . The NAACP sued on behalf of Jackson , arguing that the new court undermines democracy by not allowing local voters or elected to choose its judge or prosecutors.
