Chuck Woolery, smooth-talking game show host of ‘Love Connection’ and ‘Scrabble,’ dies at 83
SUMMARY: Chuck Woolery, the popular game show host known for “Wheel of Fortune,” “Love Connection,” and “Scrabble,” has passed away at 83 at his Texas home. His friend and podcast co-host, Mark Young, confirmed his death. Woolery was inducted into the American TV Game Show Hall of Fame in 2007 and hosted several shows, including “Lingo” and “Greed.” Later in life, he became a right-wing podcaster, controversially criticizing COVID-19 narratives and expressing strong political views. Survived by his wife and children, Woolery’s career also included music with the group The Avant-Garde.
