Christian Services offers annual Christmas dinner early
SUMMARY: Charles Herrington has been with Salvation Army for at least the last five years and hopes to continue. The organization recently hosted an early holiday celebration at Hattiesburg, serving an annual community Christmas dinner to about two thousand people. The event celebrated its 37th year and brought local residents and volunteers together to celebrate the holiday season. Herrington, along with about 75 volunteers, helped prepare and serve holiday meals as part of the event. Christian Services, where Herrington volunteers, also provides food boxes to families in need. They serve lunch in their dining hall and deliver food daily through their “Meals on Wheels” program.
