Ask John: What is the first day of autumn all about?
SUMMARY: In this week‘s “Ask John,” the question addressed is about the first day of autumn. John explains that autumn begins when the sun is directly over the equator, which occurs around September 22nd at 7:44 AM. John emphasizes that understanding the sun’s position and the earth’s orbit helps explain why we have different seasons. Viewers are encouraged to submit questions for future segments.
