HSFT Stop #1: West Lowndes
SUMMARY: West Lowndes made it to the quarterfinals despite winning only one district game last year, thanks to their challenging 1A region 4 schedule. Head coach Anthony King noted that although they lost to the state champs Biggersville in the last three years, it helped prepare them for the playoffs. This year, the focus is on becoming state championship contenders, leveraging young talent and strong summer workouts. Senior Kam Evans leads by example, while junior Eli Sanders emphasizes the importance of enduring heat during summer practices. King's primary goal is to secure district wins to gain more home playoff games, starting the season against Aberdeen.
