The investigation began in August when the foster dad and the teen were reported missing; she was later found and disclosed the repeated sexual assaults during a forensic interview. The teen is now in custody of child protective services, which is struggling with a shortage of foster homes, exacerbated by such horrific incidents.

It’s one of the most disgusting cases the sheriff in Lowndes County said he has ever seen.
