Man sentenced to 10 years for taking Mississippi teen to Louisiana for sex

SUMMARY: Ronald Latiolais III, 28, was to 10 years in prison for taking a Mississippi teen across lines for unlawful sexual activity. In April 2019, Latiolais drove from to meet a 13-year-old girl he met online and knew was underage. He cut her window screen, took her to Louisiana, and admitted to committing sexual acts with her. Latiolais has been in jail since August 2022 and was found guilty of transporting a minor in interstate commerce for unlawful sexual activity in March 2022. He must register as a sex offender and will be on supervised release for five years after serving his prison sentence.

Holmes County man sentenced for illegal possession of firearm
