Poore addresses plans for Madison County Schools

Crystal Springs man sentenced for Jackson carjacking
SUMMARY: Christopher Lawrence Murray, a 31-year-old man from Crystal Springs, was sentenced to 110 months in prison on October 29 for carjacking a woman at gunpoint in Jackson. In May 2021, he and an accomplice approached the victim in her vehicle, brandished firearms, and demanded her cell phone and car keys before fleeing with her vehicle. Murray was indicted on September 6, 2023, and pleaded guilty to brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence on July 31, 2024. The case was investigated by the Jackson Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
