SUMMARY: A town hall meeting was held at Mount Nebo Baptist Church to address frustrations over water bills and the new water billing rate. Many attendees were disappointed that their personal bill questions weren’t answered. Ted Henifin said people were understanding of the situation, and efforts have been made to make the process of getting questions answered and bills paid easier by putting it online. JXN Water doesn’t have the resources for a physical office, so people with personal issues can call 601-500-5200 for assistance. Despite the disappointment, the meeting aimed to help people understand the new water billing rate and sewer consent decree.

A public forum with the man put in place of Jackson’s water and sewer systems didn’t go as planned.
