Petal Fire Department names new assistant fire chief
SUMMARY: The Pedal Fire Department has appointed Will Lewis as the new assistant fire chief at the recent Board of Alderman meeting. Lewis, who has been with the Pedal Fire Department for years and has 20 years of fire service experience, expressed his excitement and honor for the new role. Jones County man charged with 2nd-degree murder
SUMMARY: A suspect, Dwayne Clark of Laurel, has been charged with second-degree murder following a shooting in Jones County's Powers Community that resulted in the death of Charles Anderson.
