Woman found dead in Oktibbeha County

New Mississippi Country Music Trail marker unveiled in Union County

A two-time inductee into the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville, Wood was recognized alongside the Memphis Boys in 2007 and G and the Gman in 2016. He attributes his success to his faith, stating, “a higher power” has guided him throughout his life.
Bobby Wood is the latest artist to get a marker on the Mississippi Country Music Trail.

Vardaman working to clear fire debris in time for sweet potato festival
SUMMARY: Two months after a devastating fire in downtown Vman on July 16th, cleanup efforts are underway. The cleanup includes rare 1920s Purple bricks, with over 100,000 bricks on site, each valued at around a dollar. The profits from these bricks will be donated to the city.
