Arrest warrant issued for 3rd suspect in Nov. 26 Hattiesburg shooting
SUMMARY: An uncle was shot in the abdomen but is expected to be okay. Hattiesburg police have issued a warrant for a third person in connection to the deadly shooting incident at Heritage Apartments last weekend. 20-year-old Raytrell Jones is wanted for conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Two other suspects appeared in court yesterday in connection to this case and are charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and attempted armed robbery. Anyone with information about Jones or the fatal incident is urged to call Hattiesburg police.

Capitol police make arrest on Highway 18
SUMMARY: This morning on Highway 18 in Brooklyn, numerous police cars were seen responding to an incident near Siwell Road. Video footage captured Hinds County sheriff’s deputies and Capitol Police arresting a man who was actively resisting, yelling profanities. The situation involved a struggle, but law enforcement eventually managed to de-escalate it and place the individual into a police vehicle. The area was cleared shortly afterward, but initial concerns prompted a significant police presence.
Capitol police made an arrest Monday morning on Highway 18 and Siwell Road.
