“Pack the Pickup” helps hundreds of families in need.

WVVA recently partnered with the Hunger Coalition of Northeast Mississippi for its annual Pack the Pickup food to pantry items to those in need. The executive director of The Hunger Coalition of Northeast Mississippi, Jason Martin, emphasized the impact of the drive in helping families in the community who are struggling. The drive collected 10 trucks and 14,332 pounds of non-perishable food as well as over $99,000 in donations. The emotional response from a beneficiary highlighted the significant impact of the pantry in helping those in need.
