Winter gear, sleeping bags handed out Thursday

SUMMARY: As winter approaches, Christian Services is helping the homeless prepare for the cooler weather. Volunteers handed out hand-crafted sleeping bags and other winter gear, as well as hygiene items to dozens of people. It was reported that they had been gathering items and receiving donations for several weeks, and today‘s turnout was better than ever imagined. They were initially worried about having enough to give out, but it seems that they had plenty of supplies to offer those in need, and the organization is committed to continuing their efforts to support them through the winter.
