TUESDAY: Thanksgiving food giveaway happening at Milner Stadium in Gulfport
SUMMARY: Attempts to contact officials in Pascagoula for comments were unsuccessful. However, the community is gathering to help those in need ahead of Thanksgiving through a food giveaway event happening at Milner Stadium at 4 PM. The event, organized by Extend a Hand Help a Friend with support from Representative Jeffrey Holland and NFL player Derek Hall’s 1% Foundation, will continue until food supplies are depleted. Additionally, requests for food to feed the needy are open until November 17th. This initiative aligns with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, emphasizing community support and assistance during the holiday season.

Pumpkin Patch returns to Pascagoula, more than 1,000 pumpkins on display for purchase
SUMMARY: The First Methodist Church’s pumpkin patch is back for its third year, inviting the community to select from over 1,000 pumpkins of various shapes and sizes. Sourced from a farm in Greensboro, North Carolina, the pumpkins went on sale today. Proceeds will benefit a local mission at Trent Lot Academy to enhance students‘ academic performance. The pumpkin patch will be open from Monday to Saturday until Halloween.
A pumpkin patch in Pascagoula is back for the straight third year, and First Methodist Church is encouraging the community to “come get your pumpkin on.”

Diamondhead crew begins journey to deliver hurricane relief items to North Carolina

The calm before the Cruisin’; Cruise Central unpacks at Centennial Plaza
SUMMARY: The 28th Annual Cruise in the Coast kicks off on Sunday, with preparations underway at Cru Central. Over the next few days, Centennial Plaza will welcome thousands of classic car enthusiasts who will register for the event. Registration director Craig Roli notes that there will be plenty of participant t-shirts, trophies, and yard signs for display. More than 700 volunteers will assist to ensure a smooth operation. Rob Sigler, a former cruiser turned crew member, highlights the event’s growth and the team’s dedication to hospitality. Classic cars begin arriving at Cru Central on Monday morning in Gulfport.
It’s every classic car fanatic’s favorite time of year. The 28th annual Cruisin’ the Coast officially starts Sunday.
