USM instructor designs costumes for Louis Armstrong musical

USM assistant professor Teresa Bush is an associate costume designer for this major production. The show has received great enthusiasm and has connections to the USM theater program. The production spans seven decades and showcases various locations, requiring significant efforts in costume design. It has already played in New Orleans and Chicago, with hopes to hit Broadway next year. Professor Bush proudly contributes to this creative endeavor, showcasing the rich history of Louis Armstrong’s era through detailed costuming work.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to help the spouses of the fallen first responders.

Despite starting without a solid plan, Mixon’s venture has flourished over four years, leading to expansion into Mobile, and fulfilling a community demand for accessible, quality meals.
Four years after opening, the business has grown and now operates in Pascagoula, Lucedale, and soon Mobile, Ala.
