HBCU Awareness Foundation’s 13th college fair tour ends Saturday

One student, Reliyah Sanders, received a $10,000 scholarship that will allow her to pursue her dreams in track and field. The event was part of a six-day tour that ended in Memphis.

Human remains found in Marion County believed to be those of missing man

On November 1, authorities received reports of a vehicle matching the description of one belonging to Delmar Lee Blake, Jr., who went missing in August 2023. Upon locating the vehicle in the Lampton community, investigators searched the area and found the remains, believed to be Blake’s. The remains have been sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for identification. Deputies do not suspect foul play, and the investigation is ongoing.
