Petal Children’s Task Force looking for donations to help those in need

SUMMARY: This week on WDAM 7, they are highlighting the service and needs of local food banks in the Pine Belt area. WDAM 7, along with Chief Meteorologist Patrick Bigbie, visited Petal Children‘s Task Force to see their efforts in feeding the community. Due to the rising cost of food and groceries, there has been a significant increase in the demand for assistance. Petal Children’s Task Force serves around 2,000 people in the Petal community by providing food and nutrition. They rely on donations, both food and monetary, to keep their shelves full and continue serving the community. To donate or find out more information on when and where to donate, visit WDAM 7.

The Petal Children’s Task Force has seen a dramatic increase in requests for help from people who would normally not be food insecure.
