Local organizations team up to provide food and wellness to those in need

SUMMARY: Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle and local churches teamed up with Loaves and Fishes to provide wellness and education to the community. In addition to distributing free food, Baptist Memorial Hospital also offered free flu shots to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination. They aimed to ensure that people were prepared before the flu season started. The hospital delivered a hundred flu shots while Loaves and Fishes served about three times that number of meals. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness, especially among those who may not have access to primary care physicians.
