Brandon man sentenced on sexual battery charge
SUMMARY: A 50-year-old man named Gino Giovanni Giammarco from Brandon, Mississippi, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual battery involving a minor child. He will serve 20 years without the possibility of parole or early release and will then be on supervised probation for five years. Giammarco must also register as a sex offender and have no contact with his victim. The victim had reported being sexually assaulted by Giammarco and he later confessed to committing some of the crimes. Giammarco pled guilty to one count of sexual battery and was sentenced for a sex crime involving a minor.
