Scholar Athlete of the Week: Biloxi’s McKenzie Boudreaux
SUMMARY: McKenzie Buro, a senior and two-sport athlete at Bel High School, has been named the scholar athlete of the week. Buro excels both in the classroom and on the volleyball and soccer fields. She is also involved in several academic clubs and serves as a tutor. Buro’s family has always emphasized academics, and she finds it challenging to balance sports and school. However, she believes that by managing her time effectively, she can succeed in both areas. Buro plans on pursuing an architecture degree at Mississippi State after high school but is focused on enjoying her remaining time at Bel High School.
