Looking to future in historic Paradise Alley
SUMMARY: The historic Paradise Alley in Aberdeen, Mississippi is being revitalized by the Aberdeen Visitor’s Bureau. This area used to be a bustling African-American shopping district in the 1880s. The Bureau is cleaning up the area and planning to host events and add a mural to bring new life to the space. They hope to preserve the cultural and historical significance of the alley and share its story with future generations. The first event, Fall into Paradise Alley, will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Bureau plans to hold events in the alley every month.
