Armstrong Middle School bomb threat: Investigation ongoing

SUMMARY: Starkville police and the Starkville Oktibbeha County Consolidated School District are investigating a bomb threat that was received by Armstrong Middle School. The school implemented a modified lockdown and called 911. Police arrived on the scene quickly and began clearing evacuation routes. Once the common areas were cleared, students were directed to buses and other loading areas. The incident is still under investigation by the police, school district, and Mississippi Analysis and Information Center. Anyone with information is urged to contact Starkville PD or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers.
