String of car burglaries continues in Golden Triangle Area

SUMMARY: Over the weekend, the Dunlap Apartment Complex in West Point, Mississippi was hit with multiple crimes. Over 10 cars were broken into and burglarized, and one victim was shot at. The suspects, believed to be under 18 years old, also stole a car from a nearby county. These three individuals were identified as suspects in a spree of over 30 car burglaries in Starkville three weeks prior. One person was arrested thanks to video surveillance. West Point Police Chief Avery Cook believes that these repeat offenders have no respect for the law due to a lack of consequences.
