SUMMARY: Administrator Ted Henifin’s leadership has led to immediate action in searching for and repairing leaks in Jackson’s water distribution system. IMS Engineers has identified all the leaks in the system so far and is responsible for assigning contractors to repair and replace the pipes. The extreme heat has posed challenges for the contractors, who must work shorter hours and take extra safety precautions. IMS Engineers recommends staying hydrated and taking breaks in the heat. Although progress has been made, there is no set timeline for when the entire distribution system will be repaired, as rebuilding the infrastructure will take time. IMS encourages neighbors to continue reporting leaks.
