Tackling campus traffic during football season
SUMMARY: Mississippi State University is preparing for its football season opener on September 2 and is expecting more attendees than available parking spots. The university's Transportation Department is providing assistance to help direct people to parking lots, including reserved and paid options. If parking is unavailable on campus, there are other parking spots available in town, some of which require payment. The university also offers a free shuttle service called S.M.A.R.T that transports people from different parts of town to the campus on game day. Drivers are advised to pay attention to road closures and use the Transloc app for updates.
