Mississippi University for Women moves to next step of rebranding efforts

SUMMARY: Mississippi for Women (MUW) is entering the next phase of its rebranding efforts, possibly a name change. The university has partnered with marketing firm Chernoff Newman to establish a clear brand identity and select a name that reflects that identity. Chernoff Newman has been meeting with various groups, such as the Naming Task Force, faculty, staff, , and alumni, to gather input. They are expected to present their findings and suggestions for names to the President’s Cabinet and Naming Task Force soon. The naming and branding is set to be completed this fall and presented to the in 2024.
