Dry conditons leading to burn bans in most counties
SUMMARY: A grass fire backed up traffic on Interstate 59 in Forrest County this afternoon. The fire spread across the grass in the median just north of the Highway 49 interchange. Crews were able to quickly put out the fire, and traffic is moving smoothly in that area. Despite neighboring counties being under a burn ban, Forrest County is not.
