SUMMARY: The offense will debut at home against Mercer on September 2nd, while a player from the Provine Rams wants to make this season one to remember on the defensive side at Mississippi State. Demonte Russell, a senior at MSU, is looking to put all his skills together and make a significant contribution in his final year. Although he has not achieved impressive stats in the past, Russell is determined to make a major impact this season, especially with his experience in the front seven of the defense. He had his first career sack in the ReliaQuest Bowl last year and believes this year will be his breakout season.

De’monte Russell of Proving High School fame is one of the many veteran leaders on the Mississippi State defense. The senior defensive lineman is confident that he can put it all together this season and have his best year ever as a Bulldog.
