Long Beach has moved up from Class 5A to Class 6 and will play in a revamped Region 4-6A, along with teams like Picayune and West Harrison. The Bearcats haven’t made the state playoffs since 2011 and are hoping for a fresh start under their new coach, Jacob Massey.

In 6A, Picayune (10-2) will host George County (7-5) after both teams advanced from the first round. Pascagoula dominated Terry, winning 41-0. In 5A, Gautier edged Natchez 36-30, with quarterback Trey Irving leading the charge. Poplarville narrowly beat Columbia in 4A’s second round and will host McComb next.

Gulfport Falls Short Of Ending One-And-Done Streak As Petal Wins On Late Field Goal
