Section of Highway 12 renamed in memory of longtime Sturgis police chief

The dedication ceremony took place at Sturgis Baptist Church, with Jones’ wife, daughters, and loved ones in attendance. The section of the highway, starting at Sturgis Maven Road and extending one mile east to Sturgis Lewisville Road, will now be known as G Lewis Jones Memorial Highway. The family expressed their pride and gratitude for the recognition.
