JPS students return to class on Monday

SUMMARY: On the first day back to school for Jackson Public Schools (JPS), Marie Mennefield from Metro 12 News visits Green Elementary to see the preparations. The district has undergone changes such as consolidating schools and implementing new programs. To address any questions or concerns, JPS has opened a hotline for Superintendent’s First Day, which will operate from 7 am to 5 pm today and tomorrow. As a safety measure, digital scanners that detect dangerous items will be installed at all high schools. JPS will also provide free breakfast and lunch for students throughout the school year.
