MGCCC Fine Arts Gallery and Honors College students salute retired military through art and storytelling
SUMMARY: In honor of Veterans Day, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s School of Visual and Performing Arts is hosting “Our Veterans’ Art Adventures,” an exhibition featuring art created by retired military members at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) in Gulfport. Art Specialist Milton Williams highlights the veterans’ enthusiasm for exploring their artistic talents, while Honors College students will document their stories for the project. A Veterans Day event on November 11 at 10:30 a.m. will showcase these narratives and celebrate their journeys.
