Cattle like to keep cool, too
SUMMARY: In the midst of extreme heat, cattle ranchers and farmers are working hard to keep their livestock cool. Hannah Hayes, a reporter, spoke with the state agriculture commissioner and an area farmer to discuss why it is important to ensure cows do not overheat in these hot temperatures. Cattle can easily become hot, especially with no way to stay cool in an open pasture. To combat this, it is crucial to provide fresh, cool water and keep troughs full for the animals.
