Mississippi state auditor addresses state welfare scandal before Congress
SUMMARY: Mississippi State Auditor Shad White testified before lawmakers about handling the state’s largest welfare scandal involving the misappropriation of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funds. Interview: Autism organization offering sensory-friendly film in Corinth

Columbus mayor not seeking re-election
SUMMARY: Columbus Mayor Keith Gasin announced he will not seek reelection, revealing his decision during a press conference at City Hall.
