MUW partners with hospital for new nursing program

SUMMARY: The Mississippi University for Women (MUW) has launched a new initiative to address the nursing shortage by partnering with Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. This program allows Registered Nursing students to work alongside professionals, becoming student nurse residents. Associate nursing students at MUW will earn clinical credit while receiving training under the mentorship of a clinical coach. Two students from the existing nurse extern program will be selected for this new opportunity, enhancing their practical experience and preparing them for future nursing roles.

The Mississippi University for Women is partnering with the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle for a new nursing program.

Escapee captured, ending manhunt

Carr, a pre-trial detainee facing charges of murder and aggravated assault, escaped around 7:30 PM last night. Authorities have reached out to Capitol Police for more information but have not yet received a response.
