Mississippi Disaster Recovery Centers now operating under new weekday hours

Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in portions of the impacted by recent tornadoes will have new weekday operations beginning Monday.The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that all Mississippi DRCs are reducing their Monday through Friday hours to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours will remain 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.The DRC locations are still open throughout the state:Humphreys County: Humphreys County Library, 105 Hayden St., Belzoni, MS 39038Monroe County: Monroe County Complex, 1619 Highway 25, Amory, MS…

Pedestrian killed on Medgar Evers Boulevard in Jackson
