World Health Organization ends global health emergency for COVID-19

COVID-19 is no longer declared a global health emergency.

The World Health Organization on Friday announced that it had ended the worldwide public health emergency over the virus as cases and deaths have been on the decline for over a year.

“For more than a year the pandemic has been on a downward trend.
