Wicker, Hyde-Smith introduce legislation to improve tornado warning systems

Mississippi Senators Roger Wicker and Cindy Hyde-Smith have joined several colleagues in reintroducing legislation to improve the forecasting and understanding of tornadoes and other hazardous weather.

The Tornado Observation Research Notification and Deployment to Operations (TORNADO) Act would require the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to update its methods for predicting and communicating weather alerts to residents.

Suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO struggles, shouts while entering courthouse
