9 year anniversary memorial held for fallen HPD officers

SUMMARY: Nine years ago, Hattisburg Lori Tate and Benjamin Dean were shot and killed during a traffic stop on East 4th Street in Hattisburg. Since then, the community has together to honor and remember the fallen officers every year. On the anniversary of their deaths, First Responders, the officers' families, and the gather on East 4th Street to pay . The community's and remembrance mean a lot to the department and the families of the officers. A scholarship was also presented in Dean and Tate's honor to two High School seniors at the memorial. It was a tragic and somber day for all involved.

HPD honored officers Liquori Tate and Benjamin Deen.
