SUMMARY: The brutal heat is set to continue into the new week with extremely high humidity and temperatures not dropping below 80 degrees overnight. An Excessive Heat Warning between 11 AM and 7 PM is in place for Monday and an Excessive Heat Watch for Tuesday, which may well be upgraded to a warning. Tuesday also brings the possibility of isolated showers and thunderstorms but the main issue will be the heat. The humidity makes it worse by limiting cooling overnight. Advice given is to stay hydrated, wear loose clothing, avoid over-exertion and stay indoors as much as possible.
