SUMMARY: A heat wave is affecting Appalachia Bay, Florida, with temperatures well above seasonal average and a predicted 20% chance of rain or thunderstorms. An area of low pressure near Seattle is expected to move southwards, producing a cold front that will provide little relief from the heat but may aid in the creation of more showers or thunderstorms by the start of next week. Further disturbances in weather patterns lower the likelihood of the front moving southwards as high pressure is expected to have moved back west for a few days.
