This easterly wave is moving west-northwest towards south Texas but is likely to clear by Tuesday morning. High pressure remains stable, with best rain chances centered south of Interstate 10. Cloud cover is expected to keep high temperatures to the mid-90s in southern portions, shooting close to 100 in northern sections. Heat Advisory and Red Flag Warning are in effect today, and temperatures will likely soar to record or near-record levels through the weekend. High pressure will shift westward, possibly initiating convection by late weekend.
