SUMMARY: Light showers continue across the area, mainly near the coast, with similar conditions forecast for today. High pressure remains over Texas and New Mexico, however, a slight weakness could enhance rain chances. Tomorrow’s forecast remains difficult with heat index values potentially reaching 105-110 range. Rainfall is expected in the first half of the next week, with concerns over possible excessive rainfall towards the weekend. In the latter part of the week, heat is expected to become the primary concern as rain chances decrease.
