7/31 – The Chief’s “Hotter Than HOT” Final Morning of July Forecast

Published

www.wxxv25.com – Rob Knight – 2023-07-31 06:58:00

SUMMARY: The MCS continues to decay, moving south of marine waters, with isolated showers or storms expected in marine zones. However, with limited upper level support across central Gulf States, only limited rain is expected through mid-week. Inland temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees due to high pressure from the west, resulting in excessive heat. Weak surface winds inland and advancing lake/sea breezes may keep moisture values high enough to avoid excessive heat. However, an excessive heat watch or advisory is likely necessary. The synoptic pattern indicates mostly hot and dry conditions, with a heat bubble in close proximity to the region.
