SUMMARY: Thunderstorm activity is expected to die out by midnight with clouds beginning to clear by daybreak. Despite the possibility of some clouds, sunny conditions are set to dominate, leading to soaring temperatures in the 90s which could feel like 105-110 degrees. The heat is set to intensify through the week, with strong high pressure and air motion driving the conditions. Mid-week temperatures could reach the upper 90s and feel over 110 degrees. Heat alerts will be in effect and the public are advised to limit outdoor activities.

A Carriere, Miss. native, she earned her master’s degree in communications from USM in 2006 and began her career at NASA as an intern. Today, as the protocol officer, Keating oversees events and high-level visits while educating the public on space exploration. In 2024, she received the prestigious Silver Snoopy Award for her contributions to NASA Stennis. Keating is passionate about promoting the Artemis program and its historic milestones in space exploration.
