Austin’s protest rules allow demonstrations on public sidewalks without permits, provided they don’t obstruct access or create hazards. While no permit is needed for protests at the Capitol, special accommodations require prior approval. Future 50501 events are planned, including another protest on March 4, encouraging assembly at Capitol buildings nationwide.
