SUMMARY: More than 50 dogs, including Rottweilers, were rescued from a home in Watauga, Texas, where they were found living in filthy conditions. Some were malnourished and kept in overcrowded, unsanitary kennels. The home was connected to an animal rescue, but the situation was deemed one of the worst animal cruelty cases seen by authorities. A criminal investigation is underway, with charges expected soon. Police discovered the animals after an adult was severely bitten by a dog. The animals have been removed, and Fort Worth Animal Care and Control is working with rescue groups to find them homes.

SUMMARY: An intense March storm is set to affect over 100 million people in the U.S., bringing a mix of fires, blizzards, tornadoes, and flooding as it moves eastward across the Great Plains. Meteorologist Benjamin Reppert notes that while the storm’s strength is notable, such weather is typical for spring due to extreme temperature contrasts. The National Weather Service predicts strong winds with gusts up to 80 mph, heightening fire risks in the Southern Plains, while blizzards may hit the northern regions. The storm could intensify into a bomb cyclone, resulting in stronger winds and heavy rainfall, especially along the East Coast.
