SUMMARY: Blue Delta Jeans in Shannon, North Mississippi, is expanding its business by acquiring additional facility space. The Mississippi Development Authority is supporting this expansion with a $1.5 million investment. The expansion will include creating a showroom for customers and enlarging the manufacturing floor by several thousand square feet. Blue Delta Jeans plans to enhance the building and grow its workforce, currently close to 60 employees, by adding about 5-8 employees annually. This expansion, part of a broader economic growth in the area with over $20 billion in investments and 19,000 jobs created in the last four years, is expected to complete in six months.
